2023. Or: February, depending on how you look at it
Even though the year has ended way differently than I intended it at the start of 2022 it’s most definitely been all for the better. Even if it took some time to see that, the space that I’m occupying right now is mine; I created it, curated it, and I’m rightfully claiming it, so LET’S HAVE IT!

Boundaries. Where can I get me some of these boundaries?

I certainly don’t (or didn’t – read on for more about that) have strong enough ones, and let me tell you, that out of all the suspicious smelling missiles that 2020 has chucked at me, I can firmly say that a mental health crisis to top the year off was probably one of my least favourite. 'The burden of the brutalised is not to educate the bystander' (Jesse Williams)

Which is why I’m telling you about what I’m doing to be a better ally. The resources I’ve found, and a call to action, if you will. I implore you to do the same. Read, learn, educate yourself, make proactive choices, question your own internal belief system, call out behaviour that is racist, have those awkward conversations.
